It's official. I'll be moving into a new apartment at the Civic Center Residence on November 19th of 2015. I'm excited and scared at the same time because it's a new place and it's going to be a new way of life for me. I ready to make positive changes in my life so I don't have the same problems anymore. I'm 50 years old and I think it's time to take better care of myself. Life is too short to be making the same mistakes over and over again. I have big dreams and I know they're achievable with a little hard work. I plan to get into writing for a living again and maybe buying and selling electronic devices again. I maintained a business a few years ago where I bought and sold used cell phones and I'm ready to begin that again. Life isn't too difficult, but it is wrought with blessings disguised as problems that, at first, seem insurmountable. I'm finally understand ling how life works and I'm ready to pull my pants tul

The picture below is of my right foot. It shows what the foot and leg looked like before surgery. You can see how bad it look immediately after the two surgeries and what it looks like today.

Hi doctor, I saw the foot doctor yesterday.  The preoperative instructions are attached. The podiatrist wants to do a skin graft in two weeks.  And she said she's going to lengthen my Achilles's tendon (that has me scared).  Should I get a second opinion about that? On October 29th, I'll be admitted to General for the operation and I'll be there a week according to the foot doctor.  I don't know what will happen after that. Dr. Marquez Reply Hi Ramiro,  I am glad you have a surgery date.  I wouldn't be too scared about the Achilles tendon, it seems  necessary (but I will review the surgery notes). I am in Uganda now, but will review the surgery notes when I get back next week, and then I will email you.  Usually people go to a skilled nursing facility after the surgery.  This will give time for the skin graft to heal. -Dr. Marquez

The video below is of one of the courtyards at the San Francisco Nursing Center. I recorded the video on Tuesday, October 13th so it may look a little different today. I've been a patient here at the San Francisco Nursing Center for more than a month. I figure while I'm here I may as well keep busy.

They say the eyes are the windows to the soul. I believe that's true, to a certain extent. The eyes instantly tell us if someone is sad, happy or angry, but people can also hide their feelings if they choose to do so. At any rate, I hope you're doing well. I'm still a patient at the San Francisco Nursing Center so I'm doing ok.

We smoked some of it and he gave me a small amount so I can smoke later or tomorrow. Welcome! I'm glad you decided to visit my blog. I'm just a guy that's trying to change my life so I can achieve some goals before my next birthday. I titled this post shoot for the moon to reach the stars because that's where I'm at, at this point in my life. I hope you like the digital artwork. I simply enjoy watching lion documentaries like the one below. They are a lot smarter than people give them credit for. I've seen lions outsmart their prey over and over and it's so much fun to watch.

I usually post images of myself on my other blog, but I'm bored now and I'm just messing around.

I've been thinking a lot about changing the focus of this blog from random posts and reviews to a self-help blog. I recently launched a self-help forum and I maintain a couple other blogs that deal with changing a life. One of the main reasons I'm thinking of changing this blog's focus is because it has a lot of posts and it's a couple years old. The age factor may be good for SEO.
